Trading conditions

Everything you need to know about how you can trade on a Noctorial account: what instruments are available, how leverage works, and what rules apply to when and how you trade.

Instruments

Noctorial accounts give you access to over 400 instruments across five asset classes: Forex, Metals & Commodities, Indices, Stocks, and Crypto.

Leverage

Leverage is the same across all account models.

⚠️ Properly used, it is one of your greatest advantages. Poorly calibrated, small market movements can generate large losses, so always adjust your position size to each asset.

Overnight and Weekend Positions

You can hold overnight and weekend positions on all Noctorial accounts. No forced closures at market close and no additional restrictions on holding times.

💡 Weekend gaps can be significant, especially in Forex and Indices. If you plan to hold positions over the weekend, make sure your stop-loss accounts for a potential gap at Monday's open.

News Trading

You can trade around high-impact events on all accounts. However, profits from trades opened or closed within 3 minutes before or after a major release will not count toward your payout on the funded account.

This restriction only applies to the funded account. During the evaluation phases, news trading has no restrictions.

Expert Advisors and Automated Trading

Analysis tools are allowed; execution tools are not. You can use technology to calculate lot sizes, suggest levels, or identify setups, but each trade must be opened and closed by you. Any system that executes automatically without your direct confirmation is a hard breach.

See: Prohibited Strategies

Inactivity

Each Noctorial account requires at least one completed trade—opened and closed—every 30 consecutive days. If 30 days pass without a completed trade, your account will be permanently closed. This applies to both evaluation and funded accounts.

One Thing to Remember

Good trading conditions only matter if you use them well. Leverage, instruments, and automation are tools; they amplify both discipline and recklessness equally. Trade within your edge and the conditions will work in your favor.
